Early Childhood Connections(ECC) in Mesa County serves families with infants and toddlers (0-3) who have special needs. ECC is an interagency team of parents and professionals working in partnership to assure a comprehensive and coordinated system of supports and services in our community.

Mission Statement

Early Childhood Connections in Mesa County actively extends the possibilities for all families with young children (0-3) who have special needs by providing, directly or by referral, information, resources, supports and services, community support and participation for families in their natural environments.

Having a baby who has special needs entitles a family to certain supports, services and rights under IDEA. In this federal law, the section that guarantees supports and services for children under three years of age is called Part C and is known in Colorado as "Early Childhood Connections for Infants, Toddlers and Families".

ECC in Mesa County is primarily funded by a grant from the Colorado Department of Education utilizing Federal funds from the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act(IDEA) Part C for Infants and Toddlers.
